In March 2017, the monsters return. King Kong will be back on our screens.
Kong: Skull Island has had a rather remarkable social media campaign and the latest tweet is no exception. It’s time to start meeting the people on this expedition! The information, like all the information to date, comes from a company by the name of Monarch. The very mysterious organisation was first introduced in 2014’s Godzilla and it’s a high probability that this is the connection that will join the two films together.
The first character reveal is Tom Hiddleston’s Captain James Conrad.

Conrad is an elite hunter-tracker and ex-British SAS soldier. He has also been a part of the Australian Special Forces and, as can be seen in the record sheet, he has run many successful covert operations and even hunted and killed enemy soldiers in Vietnam forcing the withdrawal of the Viet Cong.
While Conrad is in excellent physical health, he does suffer from shellshock; or what we would now call Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The little clip then goes on to black out the items, in a way reserved for top secret files.
Kong: Skull Island is set in the 1970s post Vietnam war. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and starring Tom Hiddleston as well as Oscar winner Brie Larson and legendary names such as Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly. It also stars Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell and Thomas Mann.
Produced by Legendary Entertainment, it is being distributed by Warner Bros.
Kong: Skull Island is Vogt-Roberts first big blockbuster style movie. He won critical acclaim for his film Kings of Summer in 2013. With the stellar cast and a screenplay written by Dan Gilroy and Max Borenstein, Skull Island is building up to be one of the most highly anticipated films in 2017.
