One of the best parts of the second season of Supergirl is the friendship between Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) and Supergirl/Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).
Part of this is because it reminds me of the good days of Smallville. I always like the friendship between Lex Luthor and Clark Kent on that show. Ever since I read of Lena’s addition, I’ve been hoping that they keep the friendship without the evil aspect.
So far, the show has held true to this.
Of course, they do like to test it. Don’t they?
In the episode synopsis for “Luthors”, we get Kara sticking up for Lena mixed with a Sanvers Valentine’s Day.
Here’s the synopsis:
LENA IS ARRESTED – After Metallo (guest star Frederick Schmidt) breaks out of prison and frees Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong), the police blame Lena (guest star Katie McGrath) for his escape and arrest her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) refuses to believe her friend is guilty and fights to clear Lena’s name. Flashbacks reveal how Lena came to be a Luthor.
Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together.
I thought Metallo was dead. God some of these villains are like a bad date. I wonder if in those flashbacks, we’re going to see Lex.
Look we got Superman. I want to see Lex. C’mon show. You can’t tease a girl like that.
