Even though 2016 has pretty much sucked, Chris Evans has had a good year.
Recently declared to be Hollywood’s most affordable actor by Forbes for the second year in a row, Evans has enjoyed the success of Captain America: Civil War. Personally, I’m looking forward to see him in Gifted next year.
Even though he’s best known for his role as kind-hearted Steve Rogers, Evans does have a history of playing morally questionable characters.
Do I need to remind people of the phenomenal Snowpiercer?
For those of you hoping to see this Chris get in touch with his dark side, then do I have some good news for year.
Lionsgate has recently optioned to make a film based on Steven Moffat’s Jekyll BBC series. I definitely recommend giving it a watch, if you’re curious.
The miniseries and, presumably, the film will center around Doctor Tom Jackman. Jackman’s the modern day descendant of Jekyll, who is manifesting his own alter-ego. Of course, this Hyde is more than uninhibited. He has an inhuman strength and speed. This makes Jackman a person of interest to those who wish to use him for his own ends.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer has been tapped to direct the film.
I liked Zombieland. So I’m not going to get upset over the news or anything.
Although, I do hope the film takes a more horror sort of route rather than just a straight action/thriller flick. A lot of the fun in the Jekyll and Hyde story comes from the psychological horror aspect.
Jekyll does not have a release date.
