It looks like The Flash is adding to its roster of characters, and its latest addition will definitely up the ante as the character is one that Justice League fans will recognize.
The character Gypsy is coming to The Flash, and her portrayer has already been found. Sleepy Hollow‘s Jessica Camacho is set to take on the role according to The Wrap.
Gypsy’s addition to the cast was recently teased by Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon on the hit series. Valdes shared the news during an episode of Fan Feast, the digital series that airs on The CW after each program.
“There’s going to be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy,” shared Valdes. “DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I’m excited to see how that plays out.”
Comic book fans will recognize Gypsy as she is a member of the Justice League and the Birds of Prey in the comics. Gypsy also has a history with Vibe, Cisco’s meta human alter ego. In the comics, Gypsy’s power was invisibility.
Not much is known at this time about how Gypsy will be introduced on the show. Given that this season’s theme is all about Flashpoint and the consequences that have come from it, it wouldn’t be that far of a stretch to say that Gypsy may be another meta that is the result of Flashpoint.
The Flash is currently on hiatus but will return on January 24.
