Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Yo-Yo Rodriguez Gets Her Own Mini Web-Series Called Slingshot

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. just wrapped up its Ghost Rider-filled first half of the season this past Tuesday, which means fans will have to be without their agents for a few weeks. Luckily for fans though, they won’t be without all of their agents for few weeks as a fan fave has snagged a spin-off to keep them entertained in the meantime!

Marvel announced that  a spin-off miniseries titled Slingshot will be hitting the web soon for your digital enjoyment. The announcement of the series followed the conclusion of the mid-season finale of SHIELD late Tuesday night with the release of a teaser trailer for the series.

The brief trailer invites viewers to “witness Agent Yo-Yo’s secret mission in an all-new, six-part digital miniseries.” The new series kicks off on December 13 and will be available to stream on the ABC app as well as ABC.com.

The series will star Natalia Cordova-Buckley, the Inhuman agent with the ability to run faster than the eye can see before snapping back into place.  If the trailer is anything to judge, it looks like Yo-Yo may be joined by some of her fellow agents briefly.

According to Cordova-Buckley, the series takes place during season 3 and season 4 and will explore what Yo-Yo was up to during those months.

Check out the teaser trailer below which also teases what’s to come on SHIELD as well.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return on January 10.
