Legion is a show that has been on my radar for a quite awhile. Not just because I’m a superhero fan.
(Okay. Maybe a little bit because of it.)
This is the first serious foray into a X-Men television show, which has been developed by Noah Hawley (Fargo).
Legion follows David Haller (Dan Stevens) who has struggled with mental illness since he was a teenager.. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
Today, a new trailer for Legion was released which poses more questions that answers. It does, however, give an answer that audiences have been waiting for: the date of premiere.
Legion will hit FX on February 8th, 2017 at 10/9c. For those of you wondering, that’s a Wednesday.
Back to the trailer, in most of these teasers, it looks David has been living a fairly normal existence as he struggles to cope. This new trailer, however, makes us questions everything we thought we knew about the show.
In it, a mysterious woman tells David about the mutant population. How the government has been attempting to suppress said population. It looks like David may be someone they’re trying to keep down.
Or is he?
