The Newest Lego Batman Movie Trailer Shows That The Biggest Fear Is Commitment

I am super-delighted by the general idea of the Lego Batman Movie.

After Will Arnett nailed the character in The Lego Movie, he reprises the role in his own solo venture. With a trailer released at SDCC bringing the laughs, this latest trailer only serves to heighten the excitement for the 2017 film.

Because while Bruce Wayne’s superpower is money, his Kryptonite is…

I mean he has a good reason for it to be with the death of his parents and everything. But, also, yes. He is biggest fear is commitment.

(Also can I just say that Ralph Fiennes is nailing  the role of Alfred in these trailers?)

So with Batman’s biggest fear being commitment, it extends to his villains as well. Joker (Zach Galifianakis) is upset that Batman has been fighting other people. Apparently, Batman likes to “fight around”.

Wow, Batman. Not cool.

Especially since Batman sees Superman as his greatest enemy. I have to admit that’s a clever nod to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Maybe, if we’re really lucky, the plot will make more sense than Dawn of Justice as well.

New police commissioner Barbara Gordan (Rosario Dawson) wants the police to “team-up” with Batman as well.

Poor Batman, he just wants to be left alone and people just want to be his friend. Or, in Joker’s case, his enemy.

The film looks amazing. It’s clear that there’s a lot of love for the Batman mythos. So I have to admit that I’m pretty excited to see this film in action.

Check out the trailer below.

The Lego Batman Movie will be released February 2017.
