In what has to be one of the most brilliant viral marketing campaigns, Kong: Skull Island has gone to the next level with their lead-up to the release of the full official trailer.

Once you figured out the code, it enable a file on the website to be unlocked.  I am not going to spoil your fun by showing you what’s in that file.

The following day the next clue to open more files appeared.

This opened up a short film where we could see a snippet of the giant ape.

On Monday, we were presented with this clue:

Again, this shows that the reimagining of King Kong doesn’t start too well for anyone. I have a sneaking suspicion it isn’t going to end too well either.

Today, the company has left this for us to decipher.

The file shows skeletons. As we have seen some previous stills from the movie, let’s just say that perspective is everything.

So what is this all leading to you ask?

Tomorrow, we will finally see the first full length trailer for Kong: Skull Island. What a lead-up to it!

The film, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston in the reimagined origin tale of the mythical Kong.  It’s the tale of a diverse team of explorers, some military and some environmental, who find themselves deep in the jungle of an un-chartered Pacific island.

Kong; Skull Island also stars Samuel L. Jackson, John C Reilly and John Goodman. Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz and Thomas Mann also round out the cast.

It opens in cinemas on March 10th, 2017.

Come back tomorrow and we can all fangirl over the trailer!
