As we promised yesterday, the amazing and incredible Kong: Skull Island trailer was released today. With a fantastic teaser social media campaign, the trailer did not disappoint.
With the definite feel of Apocalypse Now about it, the trailer gives us a new insight into the re-imagined Kaiju myth.
Here, look for yourself.
The media campaign for this epic Jordan Vogt-Roberts film has been wonderful to follow, with the last clues on Monarch Sciences twitter account ending and now the files delivering the trailer.
Stars of the movie Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson have also shared with us the new posters for the film.

and then this from Hiddleston

The movie, which has somewhat of an all-star cast with Larson and Hiddleston being joined by Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and John C Reilly, is set against the backdrop of the end of the Vietnam war. A scientific expedition is mounted and they essentially drop bombs on the newly discovered island. And they get a lot more than they bargained for.
The surprise for a lot of people is that apart from the giant King ape Kong; there are some other rather large and rather nasty creatures also living on the island.
Hiddleston appeared last night on Jimmy Kimmel’s show to deliver the trailer. Dressed in a gorilla suit and carrying an old fashioned reel. It was a brilliant piece which once again showed off Hiddleston’s acting as he played the part of having been talked into the antic by an Executive Producer of the show – which was in fact Guillermo Rodriguez the set ‘Security Guard’.
Kong: Skull Island is set to open in cinemas on March 10th 2017.
