The release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is just a couple of weeks away and while we cannot wait to see Newt Scamander’s first adventure in the wizarding world of New York City in 1926, we’ve already got news about the sequel.

According to Deadline, none other than Johnny Depp himself is going to join the second movie of the five-part movie series.

Although, we do not know yet whom he is going to play, we do know that we will get a first glimpse of his character in the upcoming movie, as Depp has a short cameo in it. So maybe we don’t have to wait much longer to find out how Depp’s character will fit in and what kind of an impact he has on the storyline in general.

The report says “I believe that if you look carefully, you might spot him in a tiny turn in the first installment of the J.K. Rowling-created Harry Potter spinoff”; and Hypable go further and suggest that we will only see the back of Depp’s head in the movie which is released on November 18.  The photo below is the person they believe to be Depp but guess we will find out in 16 days.

As we all know, this will not be Johnny Depp’s first fantasy movie and he already has lots of experience in the genre. In his latest fantasy movie, Depp reprised his role as the Mad Hatter in Alice Through the Looking Glass, which was directed by Tim Burton.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them tells the story of Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, who arrives in New York City 70 years before the first Harry Potter movie. Some of his fantastic beasts are accidently set free and now Newt needs to find a way to catch them again before the wizarding world is exposed to the No-Majs (American English for Muggle).

The movie is directed by David Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter movies, so I’m sure the movie was in very good hands.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be hitting theaters on November 18.

Check out the trailer and get ready to go back to the wizarding world.
