Why change a good thing? For the seventh time, YouTube will be returning as the Title Sponsor for VidCon’s Anaheim event. Tickets went on sale this week for VidCon US, which will hit the Anaheim Convention Center June 21-24, 2017. Approximately 30,000 are expected to attend.
The event has been rebranded to accommodate VidCon’s international expansion next year. VidCon Europe debuts April 7-9, 2017, at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, while VidCon Australia will launch September 9-10, 2017, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“It’s wonderful to see VidCon US continue to expand as YouTube creators become an even more influential part of popular culture,” said Danielle Tiedt, Chief Marketing Officer of YouTube. “We look forward to partnering with the team at VidCon to gather fans, brands, and industry colleagues from around the world in celebration of this ever-expanding ecosystem.”
As fans have come to expect, VidCon US will feature an Expo Hall with over 100 booths and experiences. Some new innovations to look for include a large stages for performances, panels, and keynotes, plus expanded offerings for online video’s biggest stars, known as Featured Creators. YouTube will have a significant presence at the event, creating their own unique activities for fans, creators, and industry attendees, as well as the more than 400 Featured Creators participating in 2017.
“VidCon US will be the biggest and best yet, and we are thrilled to once again be partnering with YouTube to help create an extraordinary experience for fans, sponsors, industry professionals, and, of course, the creators, who are the lifeblood of the online entertainment industry,” said Michael Gardner, VidCon’s Chief Operating Officer, and Colin Hickey, VidCon’s Executive Vice President.
