It’s New York Comic Con this weekend folks!

While the city of New York is besieged by fans and reporters alike, we’re just waiting for some very important news. It’s more than likely going to be Marvel related.

Last year, fans at the Con got a treat in seeing Jessica Jones and Daredevil clips and episodes. It was a fun time. With Luke Cage already out, then there is going to be a singular focus from the Marvel/Netflix people.

Everyone say hi to Iron Fist.

We did see some footage of the show at SDCC this year. I’m imagining that more things have been shot since then. Maybe we’ll get a full trailer out of it? Hopefully. I may not be holding my breath too much though.

What we did get so far is a brand new Iron Fist poster, drawn by Marvel bigwig Joe Quesada. (He did the art for the SDCC exclusive Luke Cage poster as well.)

This concept art poster was released in a Facebook video. More art for the series was also released today.

I do have a minor problem.

They all feature Danny Rand’s beard. Why is this man not shaved? Like I’m probably not going to notice it when I’m watching. But this beard just needs a trim. Or better yet, shave it. If he dons the traditional costume for the character, then it will look stupid with a beard.

I really want to take a razor. If I have to deal with this beard for 13-episodes, then I am not going to be happy.

Rant over. You can see the poster below, which looks hella cool. Quesada’s style for these Marvel/Netflix posters are just really awesome.
