It is election season in the United States and the country is going wild, but the real important question is, which Avenger is going to be the next President?
Late last week, Joss Whedon assembled a star filled PSA for his new organization Save the Day. The PSA urged Americans to register to vote (hint hint: Americans that day is today) and brought Whedon back to the Twitter-verse. However, that’s not all Whedon has been up to, he even hosted a half-hour Facebook live Q &A where he talked about the importance of registering to vote and answered the critical question of “Which Avenger should be president?”
So, what was the big guys answer?
“I’m probably going to have to go with Hawkeye,” Whedon answered. “There’s a man who is grounded. He not only has family values, he has a family. He has an actual family. He actually interacts with human people in a normal way. He has children he wants to protect. Every other Avenger, let’s face it: They’re a little out there. A little bit disconnected from the real world.”
Whedon pointed out that Black Widow and Thor are probably ineligible since they were not born in the United States. But what about Captain America, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner?
“Definitely don’t want Tony Stark to be president,” Whedon added. “He may be the smartest guy there, and although I love Bruce Banner, I’m thinking, you know, again, as we’ve seen in this election cycle, somebody with a really bad temper is not maybe the best choice.”
So, what about Captain America? Well, I guess he has a lot of history to catch up on, but do morals stand for nothing? I’d vote for you Cap!
Well Americans today is the day to register – so get out and vote and check out Whedon’s Facebook Live video below:
