Game Of Thrones And Tatiana Maslany Win Big At The Emmy Awards

Television’s golden night finally arrived this past Sunday as the 68th Emmy Awards were handed out. HBO’s Game of Thrones dominated the awards by taking home 12 awards (many of its awards were handed out prior to the ceremony airing).

FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson meanwhile came out on top in five major categories on Sunday, bringing its Emmy total to nine. Fox’s Grease Live placed third with five total wins.

Network by network, HBO walked away with 22 total wins, followed by FX’s 18; Netflix and PBS were a distant third and fourth with nine and eight, respectively. Broadcasters ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW combined for 21 total Emmys, and only four during the Big Show on Sunday.

There were a lot of first time winners this year, including some fan faves that were finally given their time to shine at last!
