When Arrow returns for its fifth season, the show not only will be returning back to basics as far as its formatting and tone, but also it will be celebrating hitting a landmark or rite of passage in the television world.

That’s right: Arrow will be hitting 100 episodes this seasons, and it was revealed today that they are going big for that particular episode bringing in some old faces. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted out quite the surprise to his followers while the cast was doing the table read for the 100th episode.

If your attention to detail is amazing, then you probably honed in on the gentleman located next to Stephen Amell, Jamey Sheridan. The veteran actor will be making his return to the Arrow-verse as Oliver’s father Robert, who famously died in the Arrow pilot, setting the wheels in motion for Oliver becoming the Green Arrow.

Another thing that is very important to note is the caption for the photo: “No Flashpoint. No flashbacks.” With that being said, it looks like Oliver might be doing a bit of a time traveling thanks to his Legend friends if Robert Queen is going to be a flashback for Oliver. Given that the 100th episode of Arrow takes place during the epic four series crossover event including The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, time traveling is looking pretty good as being the reason for viewers seeing Robert Queen again.

The late Mr. Queen does owe fans of the show a lot of explanations as far as how he allowed himself to stray so far. There is still so much backstory to be told when it comes to the Queen family.

Also featured in the table read group photo is Katie Cassidy, who has also been confirmed to be a part of the 100th episode of Arrow. The actress confirmed her involvement in the episode via Facebook.

Arrow will return on October 5th on the CW.
