Jon Snow’s death at the end of season five was probably one of the most shocking moments of the entire show. After that, a great speculation began whether or not Jon was really dead or not.

Finally, in episode two of season six the biggest mystery of Game of Thrones was revealed and Jon came back to life!

Every fan of the show was probably very happy about his return, however, there was one who wasn’t.

Kit Harington has just revealed in an interview with The Wrap that he was initially disappointed about the way Jon Snow came back to life.

When Harington was asked if he thought that being dead and then coming back to life would affect his performance during season six, he explained that he didn’t know how he’d come back. This made preparing for the next season very hard.

I did—but at the same time, you don’t get the scripts until about two weeks before you start shooting the new season. I knew I was coming back to life, but I didn’t know if I’d come back as a changed person, as a villain. So I couldn’t pre-plan anything, which was hard.”

Obviously, he came back as the Jon we all know and love, but we all know it’s never as it seems, especially not with Game of Thrones. Kit Harrington goes on about what his thoughts were when he read the scripts. After a second thought, it wasn’t that disappointing.

“And then I got the scripts, and actually, he comes back as himself, as the Jon that everyone knows. Which at first I found disappointing. But it’s more subtle than that. He has an insight into what lies beyond that very few people in his world do, and that no one in our world does—he knows that there’s no afterlife. Which does quietly drive who he is and what he wants to do.”

Even though Jon didn’t majorly changed after he was resurrected, we could all see that it made him stronger as a person in one way or another. I’m sure we will see how much his resurrection is going to affect him even more in season seven.
