Ms. Britney Spears, Queen of Everything, made all our teeny-bopper dreams come true this week when she helped James Corden get to work. Now, we all know what that means, right? The pop princess rode along for an unforgettable session of Carpool Karaoke!

Okay, now that that’s out of the way… This was fabulous for a million and one reasons. Number one, it is always a joyous occasion to see Britney (we’re on a first name basis) happy, healthy, and doing well. She is currently killing it in her Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, so it was a lovely treat to see her on The Late Late Show. The star also released a new album this past Friday, called “Glory,” so she is maybe more on top of the world than usual.

This segment definitely makes my top three favourite Carpool Karaokes, because, in her own words, “it’s Britney, b*tch.”

Content-wise, I loved how amused she was and how appreciative she seemed of Corden’s enthusiasm. It was clear the pair loved singing along to some of Spears’ most famous hits, like “Oops!,” “Womanizer,” “Toxic,” and more.

It’s time to get very real here… This was life changing for many reasons, not the least of them being that “Oops! I Did It Again” basically has no meaning, and Britney considers it “just a song.” Although, I will say I really appreciated how embarrassed Brit was during the weird Titanic voiceover, because listening to it always makes me embarrassed for her.

It was the best blast from the past to see Britney and Corden go all out for their rendition of “Baby One More Time.” Britney gets an A for effort, but I think James’ pigtails put him over the top!

Overall, this was another fun adventure on James Corden’s “drive to work.” Britney Spears, you always have and always will be queen – thanks for proving it once again!

Pick up Britney’s new album “Glory” in stores or online now. You can also check your local listings to catch her this Sunday on MTV’s VMAs.
