We can’t help but be obsessed with Lucifer. If you have not spent your summer break catching up on one of FOX’s best new shows of the season, then what the hell are you doing? (Ha! Get it?)

The first season of Lucifer focused on the life of its main character, Lucifer Morningstar, played by the charming Tom Ellis. The devil himself had decided to leave hell behind to live a life of sin in the City of Angels, occasionally helping out the local police.

We have been hooked since the very first episode and now are impatiently waiting for season two. The upcoming season is shaping up to be fantastic, judging solely by the actors and actresses that have been added to the show over the summer. Tricia Helfer will join the cast as Lucifer’s mother, who has just escaped from hell herself. In addition to her, Aimee Garcia (Dexter) will portray LAPD forensic scientist Ella Lopez, and Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) will portray the angel Uriel.

Speaking of angels, the latest addition to the cast has us swooning quite a bit. Yesterday Charisma Carpenter took to Twitter to tease that she was headed for season two as well. And judging by her tweet, she is ready to raise hell. Hell has never been this fun, indeed!

Charisma Carpenter is best known for her role as Cordelia Chase on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, but she has also starred in The Lying Game (yet another show that was canceled too soon…), Greek, Chicago PD, Scream Queens and more.

TVLine revealed that she would take on the role of Jamie Lee, a beautiful woman with a secret: “Carpenter will be playing Jamie Lee Adrienne, a former Playmate with a lot of party years on her. Married to a once-successful action star, Jamie Lee’s demeanor suggests sadness and pain — or that she is hiding something”.

What could she possibly hide? Secrets never stay hidden for long. Could there be a possible connection between Carpenter’s Playmate and the biggest new player in town, Lucifer’s mother?

Speculate away, fandom! We want to hear your theories!

Lucifer returns with season 2 Monday September 19 at 9/8 ct on FOX.
