I pause my Gilmore Girls-filled winter break – yes, I live in the southern hemisphere – to bring you some news from Stars Hollow. I won’t deny it, I had been complaining to my friends because we didn’t have the show on Chilean Netflix when they decided to make it available worldwide, right on time for my break from work. God bless the Netflix gods because they heard my (not so silent) prayer.
We still have no exact release date for the revival of the show, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but we are definitely getting closer and closer. The show’s Facebook page has been very active lately and today we got a season one summary video narrated by none other than the man of the many jobs, Kirk himself, played by Sean Gunn.
You can watch the video here:
The fact that someone managed to sum up the first season of the show, which was filled with drama and fun and new characters and L-O-V-E, without spoiling much, is a real accomplishment!
Coffee, fast talking, first kisses, more coffee, mother/daughter fights, faster talking, wallowing (much needed wallowing) and a lot more coffee. Yeah, sounds accurate, doesn’t it? Hopefully they’ll do this for every single season in the coming weeks and then they could really consider releasing some teasers for the revival.
Gilmore Girls premiered on October 5, 2000 on The WB and then moved to The CW on September 26, 2006. It was cancelled on May 15, 2007 after season seven. Fans of the show were very unhappy about the way the show ended and were always hoping a movie or another season would be made to give Lorelai and Rory the closure they deserved. The revival comes nine years later and it couldn’t be more welcome!
