There’s no doubt one of the main reasons thousands waited hours in line for Saturday’s Hall H programming was to see Benedict Cumberbatch on stage for Doctor Strange. Marvel did not disappoint, bringing the leading man, his costars, and brand new footage.

The Sorcerer Supreme has truly arrived. Unlike the previous trailers, we now have a real look at Stephen Strange’s developing powers and the mind-bending reality fans are in for. The new trailer was enough to give Cumberbatch the shivers too. “Oh my god,” he said, looking at his quivering hand. “I’ve got the Strange shake again!”

With the new trailer, we also see more of Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who becomes Strange’s partner. Interestingly, we learn The Ancient One has been awaiting Strange for some time but for what reason is unclear. There’s also a first look at Benedict Wong as Wong, and a much better look at Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius. In two scenes not show in the trailer released online, Wong chides Strange about removing ancient book, and Kaecilius remarks on the “strangeness” of his opponent’s name.

Those in attendance for the panel were also treated to an extended look at Strange’s first encounter with The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton). In that clip, the former surgeon has a mind altering experience that convinces him what he’d dismissed as spiritual nonsense is a pathway to alternate realities. It’s also a way for him to save people again, having lost the use of his skills as a surgeon due to a car accident. It might even bring him back closer to former flame and coworker played by Rachel McAdams.

Doctor Strange opens in theaters November 4.
