Powerless is the first half-hour sitcom from DC Comics. It features the ordinary lives of the ordinary people in a world populated by superheroes.
Trust me, for the most part, they are pretty done with it. There’s just the annoyance of having derring do going on while you’re trying to get to your job.
That doesn’t overly surprise me. Even being a huge superhero fan, I can definitely see the day to day annoyances that could come with this life.
In preparation for San Diego Comic Con, the midseason show decided to show off its poster. It definitely looks like a comic book cover. The poster was drawn by legendary artist, Neal Adams.
Doesn’t it look cool?!

For those of you going to SDCC, the poster will be available for pick up at the Warner Bros booth.
In addition to seeing the cast that includes Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, and Christina Kirk, we get to see a new character played by Ron Funches. Funches was previously on NBC’s Undateable.
In the show, Funches will play a character named Ron. Ron, who works in IT, is a huge superhero fan and his enthusiasm for the capes and cowls have not diminished at all.
We also learn the name of the insurance company that our characters work for: Retcon Insurance.
HA! I’m loving it!
For those not in the know, Retcon means retroactive continuity. This usually happens when canon is changed or altered in later episodes or films or books. You get the picture.
Powerless will premiere midseason on NBC.
