So if you weren’t one of those few thousand lucky folks in Hall H on Saturday, then you have already seen the first footage from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. For the rest of us, we’re stuck languishing over the lack of new footage in our lives.
We really want to see it, okay?
Director James Gunn, however, says that will not be happening anytime soon. They want the footage to look really nice and to clean up some of the VFX first.
I understand it. They want to show us the absolute best trailer that they can. I still think the very first Guardians of the Galaxy trailers is one of the best I have ever seen.
But when will we see the first trailer for the sequel?
Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige has an answer that.
In an interview with Collider, Feige hinted that the trailer could come out in front of another Marvel movie. Which one is next on the slate? Doctor Strange.
So yeah, we need to wait until November to see any new footage. Feige seems to think that wait will be worth it though. I agree.
Guardians of the Galaxy did begin a new trend in trailers featuring badass visual with sweet tunes.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will be released in May 2017. Dr. Strange will be released on November 4th, 2016.
