Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a very, very busy man.

Not only does he have a ton of projects in development, he has a couple of upcoming films as well. Personally, the one I’m most excited featuring The Rock is Moana.

Moana is going to be the next entry into the Disney Princess canon. It sounds absolutely amazing.

Princess Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) is a daughter of the chief of her tribe, Coming from a long line of navigators she sets off for a fabled island with her hero, the demi God Maui (Dwayne Johnson). Along the voyage they battle the treacherous ocean and all which it hides, all the while learning what the power love between friends can accomplish.

Moana hasn’t really shown audiences much yet. The film is being kept tightly under wraps. Since there are only a few months lefter until the premiere? Well it’s time to start getting some Moana content out there.

The Rock, champion of social media that he is, happily obliged us today with a new tweet.

Actually, more recently, the Rock has confirmed when the trailer will be released before the Tony Awards.

This makes a ton of sense to drop the trailer before the Tony’s for two reasons.

It’s a musical. Duh.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, who by now needs no introduction, will continue his takeover as our benevolent culture overlord by penning music for Moana with Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina.

I have to say that the new poster looks beautiful: lush and blue and gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what the teaser trailer is going to bring on Sunday.
