HBO has unveiled eight photos from the highly-anticipated penultimate episode of Game of Thrones season six, “Battle of the Bastards”.

No more filler episodes now, this is the Jon Snow vs Ramsay Bolton face-off that the show has been setting up. The running time is an impressive 60 minutes, and from the looks of it, that entire stretch will be dedicated to the great battle for the North. Or can we expect a glimpse of Meereen? Probably not.

Above we see Sansa Stark by Jon’s side. She was instrumental in convincing her half-brother to take back their ancestral home of Winterfell.

There’s a slight snag, as the Bolton Army massively outnumber the Stark-Snow forces.

In the former Lord Commander’s corner, we have the wildlings and of course, Lyanna Mormont’s 62 Bear Islanders. Will it be enough? It’s a shame Arya won’t be back in time. That girl would have tipped the balance in Jon’s favor.

Return of the King in the North? That’s the back of Jon Snow’s curly head as he heroically faces the massed Bolton army.

Prominent members of Team Snow include the wildling leader Tormund. Here he is in action:

The giant Wun Wun charges into battle:

Trusty Davos Seaworth is also on Jon’s crew. Where’s Melisandre? She brought Jon back! She should be prowling the battlefield making ominous threats to Ramsay about the Lord of Light.

Let’s hope all the characters shown in these images make it out of the epic clash alive and in one piece.

Yeah, well, maybe except that guy.

Game of Thrones “Battle of the Bastards” is on HBO on Sunday.
