Captain America: Civil War Bonus Features Revealed

It’s been almost two months since the US release of Captain America: Civil War (over two months in this part of the world since Latin America got it a week earlier) and the excitement that surrounded it before doesn’t seem to diminish much. And fairly so!

Let’s be honest, when it comes to superhero movies, Civil War is a gem. It has already become the year’s highest grossing film after making over $1.147 billion worldwide.

People say it could easily have been a third Avengers film, but I think it’s so much more than that. I cannot wait to be able to watch it over and over again.

That day will come soon-ish. Rumour has it the movie will get its home video release in September. I, and many others, could not be more excited. Not only will we get to watch the film in the comfort of our homes but with it, we will get the ever so anticipated bonus features.

A copy of the 3D Collector’s Edition Blu-ray for Captain America: Civil War was on display at the Disney Preview event in New York City, and fans had the chance to see both the cover art and the features that came with it.

There are seven known bonus features attached to the film’s home release. Let’s take a look:

  • United We Stand, Divided We Fall — The Making of Captain America: Civil War – Part 1 & 2 – From skinny volunteer to backbone of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, chart Captain America’s journey through every decisive moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this complete behind-the-scenes look at a landmark in the Marvel saga.
  • Captain America: The Road to Civil War — Explore the First Avenger’s fascinating evolution from loyal soldier to seasoned, conflicted hero who questions authority.
  • Iron Man: The Road to Civil War — Tony Stark’s path has been no less epic or transformative than that of his friend and ally, Steve Rogers.
  • Open Your Mind: Marvel’s Doctor Strange — Exclusive Sneak Peek — Go behind and beyond the scenes as Doctor Strange makes his journey to the big screen.
  • Audio Commentary — With Directors Anthony and Joe Russo and the screenwriters.
  • Gag Reel
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes

Personally, I’m super excited about the Doctor Strange sneak peak and the deleted scenes. There could be a number of footage shot that we don’t know about included here. Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan have mentioned they filmed more scenes together than what we got in Civil War. That’s something I’d be really excited to see because Steve and Bucky’s relationship is, to me, the backbone of the film.

All we can do now is sit, wait and get even more excited about this DVD release!
