This bit of news should not be a surprise to fans of the Iron Fist comics.
Carrie-Anne Moss has been confirmed to be a part of the Iron Fist series on Netflix. She first made her debut in Jessica Jones and appeared in the second season of Daredevil as Jeri Hogarth.
Showrunner Scott Buck said: “Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world.”
In the comics, Hogarth was the attorney of the Rand family (also he was a guy). Fans of Iron Fist were surprised to see Hogarth pop up in Jessica Jones, but she was a fascinating, if amoral, character.
I am also surprised to see that she didn’t scar much from the attack inflicted on her by Kilgrave via her ex-wife.
Is that a spoiler at this point? Probably not.
Anyway, it always seemed like a foregone conclusion that we would have seen Hogarth in the Iron Fist series due to this comic connection. Although with Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) working at Hogarth’s law firm, I wonder if he’ll make an appearance.
I am always down for more of my baby Foggy Nelson in my life.
So time for a quick reminder for you lovely folks. What is Iron Fist about?
Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
