As any Marvel fan knows, there’s yet another MCU film production underway.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the sequel to surprise hit of 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy, has been filming for a couple of weeks. It’s safe to say that we’re excited to see the crew of the Milano reunited yet again, and hope for more space adventures to follow.

Once again, James Gunn returns to the director’s chair to bring, what I am sure, is another insanely whacky yet surprisingly heartfelt film. Needless to say, as soon as Civil War ends, I’m going to need something that won’t emotionally devastate me.

I want to be crying tears of laughter and not the other kind this time next year.

Be aware. We’re going to get into spoilers here.

On the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we saw another nod to James Gunn’s friend: Nathan Fillion.

Fillion had a heavily disguised cameo in the first Guardians film based on onset photos from Now, it seems, that he’s going to get another one in the upcoming sequel.

And this time, he’s human! And a Marvel character!

Like actual, you can find him in the comics Marvel character.

Based off of some on set photos, Fillion can be seen as Simon Williams on several mock movie posters. Who is Simon Williams? Marvel fans might know him better as Wonder Man. Williams originally started as a villain with the Masters of Evil. He was sent in by Baron Zemo to join and betray the Avengers. Except he didn’t. Then there’s something complicated with how the Vision was originally implanted with Williams personality or something.

Long story short, Williams became an actor.

Why? Comics.

In the mock posters for the film festival, we can see Simon Williams film career. While some posters such as Arkon and Haxan 2 suggest this could be a flashback, others like Tony Stark hint at a more present day Earth. It’s a film festival. It covers everything.

So will the Guardians be coming to Earth? It would be nice to see Peter make a return to his home planet before Infinity War. At this point, however, it’s all just speculation.

Personally, I want to see a mock trailer for the Simon Williams Tony Stark move. Or at least have him on Agents of SHIELD. I bet Fillion would jump at the chance.
