Ever since the live version of Beauty and the Beast was announced last year, fans have been clamoring to get a glimpse of what can be expected on the big screen. Seeing faves like Emma Watson, Matthew Stevens, and Sir Ian McKellen showing off their pipes will definitely be a delightful sight.
While audiences everywhere still have a while to wait for the film to be released, one of its stars recently gave the world a glimpse of what is to come, even it was just for fun. Luke Evans, one of the stars of the upcoming film, stopped by The Jonathan Ross show recently and showed off his pipes. Evans was cast as Gaston, the film’s main antagonist.
He wasn’t alone though as Hugh Jackman joined as Ross challenged both the thespians to a sing-off. Jackman is no stranger to being Gaston; the legendary entertainer played Gaston in the stage musical.
Both the actors gave it their all as they belted out Gaston’s song while being accompanied by Eddie The Eagle‘s Taron Egerton as LeFou, Gaston’s comedic lackey.
Check out Jackman and Evans do their best Gaston below!
Sorry, Hugh; we’d have to give this one to Evans for sure. He definitely has that Gaston arrogance down pack.
Beauty and the Beast stars an ensemble cast that, along with Evans, includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad and Stanley Tucci.
The film had its official presentation last year at the D23 Expo. So far, no trailer has been released but that should be expected out later this year.
In the meantime, you can catch Evans in the thriller High-Rise and Jackman in the film Eddie the Eagle.
Beauty and the Beast is slated to hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
