Kidman, Cumberbatch and Kinky Boots Win At What’s On Stage Awards

Ahead of the Olivier Awards on April 3 in London, tonight the stars of the West End were celebrated at the 16th Annual What’s on Stage Awards. The What’s on Stage Awards are voted for by the public, and it means that shows that are sometimes overlooked by The Olivier Awards are given due recognition.

The evening belonged really belonged to three shows GypsyKinky Boots, and Hamlet with wins for Imelda Staunton for her role as Mama Rose, the wonderful Matt Henry for Lola (who gave a phenomenal rendition of “Hold Me In Your Heart”) , and Benedict Cumberbatch for his portrayal as the Prince of Denmark.
