For Once Upon a Time’s 100th episode, the series’ heroes and villains are hell bound and waiting for them in the underworld,  is a new big bad, otherwise known as, Hades.  Hades’ first look was already revealed earlier this month, and now pictures of the upcoming midseason premiere have been released.

In the midseason premiere, “Souls of the Departed,” Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Robin (Sean Maguire), Henry (Jared Gilmore), and Gold (Robert Carlyle) arrive in the Underworld hoping to rescue Hook (Colin O’Donoghue).

The trip to hell and back will be unsurprisingly difficult. Apparently, everyone’s pasts will come back to haunt them.  Past characters  like Cora (Barbara Hershey), Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) and Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) are all set to return for this story arc. Some of these returns are featured in the stills released.

Regina will come face-to-face with her mother, Cora, for what appears to be a happy reunion (finally some happiness for the former evil queen). Gold is reuniting with his father, Peter Pan, a reunion that looks less than happy judging by the pictures.

Also in the midseason premiere, there looks to be a celebration of sorts in flashback land as back in the Enchanted Forest, Evil Regina gets a surprised visit and a gift.

Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated. The inhabitants of the Underworld—all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas—hound our heroes at every turn. Meanwhile, in an Enchanted Forest flashback, a familiar face from the Evil Queen’s past returns to present Regina with the perfect birthday gift.

Once Upon A Time returns on March 6 on ABC.
