DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is heading to the Wild Wild West with an upcoming storyline featuring none other than the legendary outlaw Jonah Hex.
It was recently announced that Jonah Hex was going to meet up with the Legends soon as part of their time traveling escapades. It now looks like a first look at Jonah Hex has been released or rather teased.
Johnathon Schaech, who will play Jonah Hex teased a first look at the character’s wardrobe as he’ll appear on the series.
Jonah’s look is definitely getting an upgrade with Schaech’s casting as the actor prepares himself.
According to Schaech’s tease, the actor has been spending his time in the makeup chair as it takes about two hours for the special effects makeup to be applied.
Check out Schaech’s Instagram post here.
Hex’s both physical guns and literal guns are looking quite nice. Definitely cannot wait to see how this version of Jonah Hex will turn out.
Legends‘ executive producers had quite a bit to say about how the Legends will do in the Old West. “Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West,” said executive producer Marc Guggenheim. “But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply MUST include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”
This version of Hex is described as “A true legend of the Old West, a morally ambiguous gunslinger with a penchant for danger. Surprisingly, he knows a thing or two about time travel and the future, but is at home in the Wild West. He’s been battling outlaws and gangs for awhile now, and advises the team to be extra careful when they arrive in the small town of Salvation.”
Here’s hoping that this version of Hex turns out better than the last time. The last live action version of Jonah Hex was the greatly hated 2010 live-action movie in which the character was portrayed by Avengers: Infinity War villain Josh Brolin.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on Thursday nights at 8pm on The CW.
