It’s here: the first trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse has been released.
This is the trailer that will play before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which means you will have the chance to see it on the big screen.
X-Men: Apocalypse will introduce us to Apocalypse (hello Oscar Issac!), the first being born with the mutant x-gene. Awoken after thousands of years, Apocalypse is disillusioned with the world as he finds it, and so he recruits a team of powerful mutants to help him fulfill his mission: cleanse mankind and create a new world order with him as leader.
Professor X and Raven will join forces, and with a new team of young mutants, will come face to face with Apocalypse and his horsemen.
The trailer, even though it starts and ends just like the video we saw at SDCC, contains new footage! We get a good look at Archangel and other young X-Men. Most importantly, the post-production crew did change Apocalypse’s skin colour from purple to blue. Much more menacing.
Ready for a ride of feels and a lot of greatness from the mutants? See it for yourself!
How about that ending? Sure, we knew it was happening, but it’s still glorious and has the ability to make a whole fandom go absolutely nuts. If Days of Future Past broke our hearts, multiple times throughout the story, this one will most likely be the end of us. 2016 is going to be the year of feels.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be out on May 27.
