Shenanigans Ensue When Kevin Hart And The Rock Team Up In Central Intelligence

I have a soft spot for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I may have mentioned this fact a time, or two, or three.

But what can I say? It’s true.

He just seems like a really nice guy and like he would be a blast to hang out with.

Yes. I do have a rating system of celebrities based on how fun it would seem to hang out with them. Like you don’t.

I also do like Kevin Hart, and enjoy a ton of his stand-up. Usually, I’ll put on one of his Netflix specials if I’m having a bad week. It’s a good kick to make me laugh.

So naturally when I heard the two were doing a movie, I was pretty excited to see where it would go.

Central Intelligence has one heck of a premise.

Basically, Hart plays a mild-mannered accountant who used to be the big man on campus in high school. Johnson plays his former classmate, an unpopular and overweight geek, turned CIA operative.

Now Johnson is dragging Hart along on an adventure he’ll never really forget.

The trailer for the film was released. For the most part, it does look pretty funny. Especially in regards to Johnson and Hart’s character contrary dialogue where Johnson essentially pushes Hart into the adventure. I really like the twist on the cliched “are you in or are you out” speech.

And there are puns on the actors names, too.

The only thing that I could definitely say will be haunting my dreams tonight is seeing Johnson’s poorly CGI’d face on some dude’s body. Like I don’t know if it is a gag or something, but considered my nightmares even more crowded tonight.

You can check out the trailer below.

See what I mean? There’s something haunting about the bad CGI.

Central Intelligence will come out on June 17th, 2016 in the US.
