Blackpool week is finally upon us! Ooh, it feels like Christmas! Usually, when Strictly moves up North for the week, we get some of the best performances of the series, so fingers crossed for a great show. Here is this week’s song and dance list:

Anita and Gleb will dance the Paso Doble to “Malaguena” by Connie Francis: We like the idea of Gleb doing a Paso far more than we should. You just know they’ll be good at this mean, moody and feisty dance.

Georgia and Giovanni will dance the American Smooth to “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston: After last week’s amazing Charleston, can Georgia keep the standard up? Time will tell, of course, but it will be great to see her back in a classic ballroom performance.

Helen and Aljaž will dance the Charleston to “Anything Goes” from the musical of the same name: Again, this should be good. Helen is excited about this dance and it’s a great song choice.

Jamelia and Tristan will dance the Quickstep to “I’m A Believer” by The Monkees: Hmm. While on paper (or screen) this looks great, we’re not so sure if Jamelia will be able to execute this very well. It could well be her last week.

Jay and Aliona will dance the Salsa to “Cuba” by The Gibson Brothers: Fingers crossed for no slip-ups, Jay, please!

Katie and Anton will dance the American Smooth to “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” by Dean Martin: Oh yes. This is Anton’s style, and Katie’s too.

Kellie and Kevin will dance the Quickstep to “Nine to Five” by Dolly Parton: This sounds like it will be brilliant, but at the time of writing this, Kevin has been so sick this week that they haven’t been able to rehearse at all! Let’s hope Kelli is a fast learner.

Peter and Janette will dance the Jive to “River Deep, Mountain High” by Tina Turner: Another one we’re excited for. Peter should be great in this, provided he nails the footwork.
