Thanksgiving is upon us once again, and it’s that time of the year where I like to reflect on the things in entertainment/pop culture that I am most thankful for.
I live and breathe pop culture and its amazing universe, and hope there are others who feel the same way I do. It’s my love for this world that gave me the idea to start this little wonderful site that has taken on a life of its own.
I’ll start off my first thank you to all of our wonderful readers. You all rock our socks and make us happy that our feels are your feels.
My list is a healthy mix of serious and fun as I give thanks to what has really made my year.
What I am most thankful for this year:
Chris Evan’s Abs
Now I know what you all are thinking. Completely gratuitous, right? And also a bit on the shallow side, correct? Both statements are true, but that doesn’t make me any less thankful for Evans’ fantastic body and how he gets it into shape with every movie he does. That takes a lot of dedication as an actor, and on behalf of every Captain America fan, I give thanks to Mr. Evans for going above and beyond.
Tom Hiddleston’s Voice
As anyone can tell, Hiddleston is a favorite of mine. He’s an amazing actor, humanitarian, and overall human being. My favorite thing about this incredible talent is his voice. It can calm and soothe your soul. His delivery is impeccable. Just listen to him in this Ice Bucket Challenge video.
And yes, this video was also another shallow thing for me, but you’re welcome because not only do you get to hear his voice, but those abs…..I mean…:
Sebastian Stan’s Puppy Dog Eyes
One of the reasons Captain America: The Winter Soldier is my favorite Marvel film, is due to Sebastian Stan’s portrayal of Bucky Barnes. He was definitely overlooked by me in the first Captain America film, but made his mark and impression on me in the sequel. Barnes’ tragic existence was haunting, and Stan did an amazing job delivering a devastating portrayal of a lost soul. Stan and his sad puppy dog eyes to be exact. I mean…just look, and you’ll agree.
This is a lovely new addition for me to be thankful for, as far as female characters that I love. Long story short, one of my staffers is a huge Arrow fan and told me to watch the show, because I love comic book shows like Agent Carter, The Flash, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. After one episode, I was hooked and fell in love with this wonderful character. She is essentially me, but much cooler. I can relate to her on her so many levels with her inner thoughts coming out and her way of talking in circles that makes perfect sense to me.
All Things Marvel
From TV shows, films, and comics, Marvel can do no wrong by me. I could write a dissertation on why Marvel is awesome, but instead I’ll just give you the following video to watch and enjoy.
My Flawless Group Of Rockstar Babes
Feeling quite sappy as I write, but I do want to thank my amazing crew at 4YE. We have a lot of fun being wild and crazy workaholics at press events and conventions. Taylor Swift’s squad has nothing on us! Can’t wait to kick some major ass with all of you next year!
