The best holiday of the year is almost here: Halloween. There’s nothing like seeing pumpkins, skulls, and references to monsters and horror-movie-villains everywhere you go. I’m actually one of those who starts waiting for Halloween since the first days of November. No shame.
Halloween is the best time for us horror enthusiasts because we find all types of stuff with the faces of some of our favourite villains of the genre; mugs with Freddy Krueger’s face, Jason Voorhees masks everywhere, and even… sweaters, cardigans, and scarves?! Um, yes!
Thanks to Mondo, this year we will be able to show our love for those classic slasher villains while keeping warm and looking fabulous with a line of sweaters, cardigans, and scarves. These new must-haves were designed by the company Middle of Beyond and will be available in Mondo’s website on Monday.
For our A Nightmare on Elm Street fans comes Krueger’s distinctive striped sweater in two presentations, perfect for you to pair it with a hat and a razor glove (glove not included, guys). In my opinion, it would be a nice way of paying tribute to the late Wes Craven (or maybe it’s just me and grieving process).
John Carpenter fans will want to get their hands on the Michael Myers sweater and scarf. That sweater is my favourite; look how comfy it looks! And it’s black! With Michael Myers’ face half in shadow!
Of course, this line would not be complete without our good ol’ friend from Camp Crystal Lake, Jason Voorhees. This sweater is very… um, Christmas-y, if I can put it that way. It has the style of an “ugly sweater”, but with Jason’s mask stabbed on one eye and blood around it. The scarf is absolutely wonderful: the mask on one side, and a tombstone on the other. On both sides, there’s a “Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake” sign.
Everything is absolutely perfect, and I want them all.
All these will be available to buy starting on Monday at 1:30 pm ET at Mondo’s website, so get them while you can! Just in time to start our Halloween preparation.
I bet you now want to watch A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween (the original, of course), and Friday 13th, don’t you? (But don’t watch Freddy vs Jason or the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Don’t hurt yourself that way).
