The Superhero Selfie To End All Other Superhero Selfies Took Place At SDCC 2015

A lot of incredible things happened last Saturday at San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H during Fox’s panel.

One of the things I loved the most about Comic Con is that feeling of being part of something big and amazing; being around people who share the same interests and that won’t give you weird looks if you get overly excited about stuff.

That feeling grew at the end of Fox’s panel, after the presentation of X-Men: Apocalypse, when moderator Chris Hardwick asked for the most epic selfie of all: most superheroes in one pic.

Having the whole cast of Apocalypse already on the stage, he just had to ask the casts of Deadpool and Fantastic Four to come back to take part of this superhero selfie.

With everyone on stage, ready to make their best to fit in one picture, a question arose: who would take the photo?! That was when Hardwick surprised us all and brought out none other than our Generalissimo Stan Lee.

I did not see that one coming! Needless to say, the crowd went wild. We were all trying to take a picture of Stan Lee on stage with the casts of X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic Four. We are used to seeing Stan in everything Marvel Studios related. Let us not forget that, even though these three projects are property of Fox, they are still Marvel family.

But hey, there was no way Stan Lee was going to be out of the super selfie, so we had one last surprise visit: Channing Tatum, who will star in the X-Men spin-off Gambit.

This way, we got the most epic superhero selfie ever: Stan Lee, Wolverine, Deadpool, Apocalypse, Gambit, Magneto, Johnny Storm, Charles Xavier and many others in one pic, some of them making some really fun faces (praise Oscar Isaac’s face. Seriously).

Can we name Chris Hardwick “honorary superhero” or something along those lines? I think he deserves it.

Don’t forget: Fantastic Four will be out on August 7th.

Deadpool will make our lives funnier and bloodier on February 12th.

X-Men: Apocalypse will give us all the feels on May 27th.
