A few days ago, we got our very first look at Jared Leto’s Joker as part of the 75th anniversary of this character. Since then, some leaked pics from the set have surfaced online, showing more of the new Joker as well as of Will Smith’s character, Deadshot.

Maybe Suicide Squad‘s director David Ayer took notice of all those curious eyes and decided nobody was going to leak more looks at his characters. Or maybe he just loves us and decided to share the very first team photo of the Suicide Squad gang. It’s as glorious as I expected it to be!

The photo shows Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie and Will Smith in full costume with the rest of their crew. The big absence here is Jared Leto. Maybe he was taking the picture, like that one time Ayer shared a pic of the cast during a reading and then a pic of Leto behind the camera, referencing the famous Alan Moore cover of Batman: The Killing Joke.

Back to the photo, we have Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, who gets his name after his ability to make boomerangs and use them as weapons. Next is Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, a powerful sorceress who can manipulate magic in various ways (from healing to teleportation to other many incredible things).

Joel Kinnaman is our Rick Flag, a member from the original Suicide Squad and the only one to survive their first mission. Standing next to him, is my favourite in all comicverse: Harley Quinn, portrayed by the always perfect Margot Robbie. Best known as the Joker’s on/off girlfriend, Harley Quinn is one to fear: highly intelligent, skilled in martial arts and immune to most poisons and toxins thanks to Poison Ivy’s injections.

Then we have Will Smith as Deadshot, one of Batman’s enemies. He is an assassin capable of using various weapons, most frequently a pair of silenced, wrist-mounted guns. He wears a metal face plate with a cybernetic eye on the right side, which increases accuracy and provides additional mission and target data. As you can see below, this particularity will also appear in the movie. In addition to all that, his main motivation for joining the Suicide Squad is his desire to die in a spectacular fashion. Dare to tell me this group of villains isn’t the greatest of all.

These photos doubled my excitement for this movie! Sure, most of you know well that my heart belongs to the other comic book company, but DC’s villains will forever be my favourite bad guys. They are just way too badass for words!

Suicide Squad will be released on August 5, 2016. Keep your eyes open for more pics! We will keep you posted!
