Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned adventure movie?

I know I love them. Especially Indiana Jones: dashing, daring, smart, and, dear God, Harrison Ford.

Truly it is a trilogy to be remembered for all time. Yep. Only three Indiana Jones movies exist.

(“But what about-?” No. Don’t speak it. Don’t think it. Three. Movies.)

Rumors of a new adventure have been swirling for years, ever since Disney bought the rights for future Indiana Jones sequels in 2012.

Today, Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed future sequels in the franchise.

According to Vanity Fair, Kennedy said that the film will be “made inside” Lucasfilm. Of course, it will be a wait. (Unfortunately.)

Kennedy said, “When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”

Talking is good. Talking is very good. It’s more then we’ve heard on that front for years.

Also up in the air is if Harrison Ford is making a return as the titular character, or if this film will be a reboot of the franchise. There have been rumors, so many rumors, about Chris Pratt taking over the role of Indiana Jones in the event of the reboot. Now, nothing has been confirmed and even Pratt himself said that he hasn’t even been approached. Still a girl can dream, can’t she?

I mean guys it’s Chris Pratt. He would totally, and effortlessly, take the lead of a reboot franchise and make us love it.

Ultimately though who knows where things will lead? Harrison Ford still has life in him, and is working the silver fox look. He could totally do another reprisal of one of his signature roles.

I will be totally fine with a reboot or a direct sequel. I just think we need to ignore the more unfortunate aspects of that previous Indiana Jones movie. (Jones’ marriage can stay though.)

We’ll keep your updated on the latest news for Indiana Jones.
