Madonna is back and coming to an arena near you!

The news that fans of the Queen of Pop have been longing for was announced yesterday, that Madge was heading back on the road for a massive worldwide tour promoting her latest album Rebel Heart.

So far the singer has announced 35 city dates for North America and Europe (see below). However, Australian and Asian fans do not despair. According to Madonna’s official website, she will also be bringing her tour to our part of the world in early 2016, with dates set to be announced shortly.

The Rebel Heart Tour begins on August 29 in Miami, Florida, with dates set until December 20. This will be the first run of lives dates for the singer since 2012’s MDNA tour and the first time she returns to Australia since 1993’s Girlie Show: Live Down Under.

“Madonna continues to be one of the most successful touring artists in history – her shows are legendary and we are thrilled to have her going back on tour,” Arthur Fogel, the president of Global Touring and chairman of Global Music, said in a statement on the website.

Tickets go on general sale for some shows from next Monday (March 9), with pre-sales starting tomorrow (March 3).

Known for her athleticism, her pageantry, her outlandish antics, and general out of this world live experiences, it is no wonder that her 2008/2009 Sticky & Sweet tour is the highest grossing tour of all time for a solo artist. No doubt the Rebel Heart Tour will deliver more of the same.

Rebel Heart, Madonna’s 13th studio album, is to be released on March 9.
