More guests have been announced for James Corden’s first few weeks as host for The Late Late Show, and it’s safe to say that the line-up is pretty awesome so far!
EW has reported that Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis will be Corden’s first guests on his talk show with his Into the Woods co-star Chris Pine and Patricia Arquette appearing the following night. The format of the show will be different to other talk shows as the guests will all be on the couch at the same time, similar to the format of The Graham Norton Show, which happens to be one of my favourite shows at the minute. It makes the show far more interesting as the I think it feels more like a group of people around at someone’s house having a chat, thus making the show more relaxed and makes for some funny moments on the show! And something tells me Corden’s talk show will thrive on this format. As Corden himself told reporters in January, ‘We’d like to do a show that feels warm…It’s not a pleasant time now, so we’d like to make a show that’s not spiky, but just really funny.’
But Hanks and Kunis aren’t the only people confirmed for the show; David Beckham, Simon Cowell, Rob Corddry, Courteney Cox, Jon Cryer, Claire Danes, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Harmon, Thomas Lennon, Katharine McPhee, Megan Mullally, Matthew Perry, Freida Pinto, Aubrey Plaza, Tig Notaro, Gordon Ramsay, and Kerry Washington have all been confirmed to appear on the show. Of course, every talk show has its fair share of musical guests, and The Late Late Show is no different with Echosmith, George Ezra, Noel Gallagher, OK Go, Olly Murs, The Ting Tings, and Jessie Ware set to appear on the show in the coming weeks too!
It’s only a matter of days before James Corden’s first episode as the host, as the series begins on Monday 23rd March on CBS, and all I can say is good luck Mr Corden. I’m sure you’ll be brilliant!
