Best known for his roles in Heroes and Gilmore Girls back in the day, heartthrob Milo Ventimiglia will be making his debut in Gotham.

With a character described as “handsome, seductive, and wealthy”, Ventimiglia’s new role on Batman prequel Gotham isn’t too far from where Gilmore Girls Jess could have found himself further down the line.

The 37-year-old actor will be making his debut on episode nineteen of the Fox show, currently in its first season.

The character named Jason Lennon may seem to be the ideal man, but there’s always a catch. For Mister Lennon? It’s that he’s a serial killer. We know everyone loves a bad boy, but that may be a tad too far.

Jason’s killer identity goes by the nickname Ogre. Before you ask, he is not Gotham‘s take on the DC Comic’s creation of the same name.

Jason (or the Ogre) has been luring in the young women of Gotham, using them for a series of “tests” in his search for the perfect mate. None so far has lived up to his standards. When this happens? They are soon disposed of in a vicious, yet quick way.

For those who are not familiar with the premise of Gotham, our main character is a James Gordon who is paired up with veteran detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) in order to solve Gotham’s most high-profile murder case.

James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is determined to track down this serial killer. In doing so, both involved are spiraling towards tragedy.

Taking on this dark role will be an interesting add to Ventimiglia’s catalogue of characters. While we wait for his debut in Gotham, you can also look out for him in ABC’s sci-fi drama The Whispers.

Gotham airs Mondays at 8/7c on FOX.
