Well my dear Gleeks, here we are with the press release for episode nine of our final season of Glee.

Not many more of these to go, and just that thought makes me so sad. Without further ado let’s jump in and see what excitement we have ahead of us.

Child Star

A high-strung, demanding tween requests that the members of New Directions perform at his bar mitzvah, and the glee club must band together for its first public performance. Meanwhile, Spencer pushes Roderick to lose weight in the all-new “Child Star” episode of GLEE airing Friday, Feb. 27th.
Cast: Lea Michele as Rachel Berry; Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel; Darren Criss as Blaine Anderson; Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans, Jane Lynch as Sue, and Matthew Morrison as Will, Dot-Marie Jones as Coach Beiste, Lauren Potter as Becky, Becca Tobin as Kitty Wilde, Laura Dreyfuss as Madison McCarthy, Billy Lewis Jr. as Mason McCarthy, Samantha Ware as Jane Hayward, Marshall Williams as Spencer Porter and Noah Guthrie as Roderick

So what about “2009”, our flashback episode? Well in a recent interview Jane Lynch said that there was a possibility that “2009” could form part of the finale episodes, so it could be that. As we know more we will let you know.

Why have the writers saved episodes like this for our final season? If we had we had interesting episodes like this during seasons four and five, then perhaps we might have been given a full season this year. Perhaps it is a case that because they know the end is nigh, the writers are remembering to have fun with the show again. Guess we will never know now, but again this episode sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

It will be great to see the new New Directions finally perform publicly after their win at Invitationals, and the song choices for this episode will probably be modern and fun. I am not sure how I feel about the idea that Spencer is pushing Roderick to lose weight. I just hope that he is doing at Roderick’s request rather than in a mean and nasty way, a la Kitty in season four.
