As we have previously reported, the 17th episode of Arrow’s third season, titled “Suicidal Tendencies” will bring back the Suicide Squad! Or, as I should say, the new and improved Suicide Squad! Because earlier this season, ARGUS decided to add Carrie Cutter to their little team of criminals. She will be joining Diggle (David Ramsey) and wife Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson), and on-again-off-again frenemy Deadshot (Michael Rowe) on a brand new kamikaze mission. And Cupid-actress Amy Gumenick could not be more excited to be back.

We have previously met Carrie Cutter as Cupid in episode 7, “Draw Back Your Bow”. During the attack of Slade’s army on Starling, Carrie, among many others, was saved by the Arrow, which ended up being a defining event in the woman’s life. Because from that moment on she has been head over heels for our green vigilante. And who can blame her? Those leathers definitely work their magic. But she also decided to go a little crazy on poor Oliver. Carrie had a pretty hard time accepting his rejection, so after Oliver managed to get a hold of her, he delivered her to ARGUS (let them deal with the crazy). Amanda Waller then put her on the Task Force X – one of the best decisions made on this season of Arrow. At least this way Gumenick had a chance to return.
As a big fan of the Task Force X, and all of their members respectively, I am always excited to see a little more of them. And while the Squad looks all nice and tidy in the picture I am sure Carrie’s special kind of crazy will make her a liability in the field, especially if Oliver as the Arrow is somehow involved in the mission. I also wonder if Carrie shares a cell with another crazy, blonde lady friend currently in ARGUS custody…
Catch Arrow Wednesdays at 8/7 ct on the CW.
