She is one of the biggest style icons of all time, her outfits, career and stunning beauty have kept us all captivated for years, and now The National Portrait Gallery are to host a photography exhibition documenting the life and career of the late Audrey Hepburn.
Starting in July 2015, the show will chart Hepburn’s rise from unknown West End chorus girl to one of the most photographed women in the world. The show will also look at her humanitarian work.
The exhibition looks set to be a must-see for any fans of the actress, fashion or style in general, as these stunning images will show.
Classic images of the star will be displayed alongside rare family photos, film posters, magazine spreads and behind the scenes photos from film sets.
The exhibition will mark the 65th anniversary of Hepburn’s career changing performance at a West End nightclub, which led to her being scouted for 1951’s Laughter in Paradise.
The show includes work from photographers of note, including Sir Cecil Beaton and Richard Avedon, as well as Mark Shaw, who was given exclusive access to the set of Sabrina for Life magazine in 1953.
Audrey Hepburn’s classic beauty never fails to astound me. She oozes grace, poise and style and I am sure the exhibition will be a real sight to behold.
Audrey Hepburn: Portraits of an Icon will run at The National Portrait Gallery, London, from July 2, 2015 until October 18.
