The truth is, all moviegoers want out of Jason Statham is to watch him beat the snot out of bad guys. Luckily for us, he’s very, very good at doing just that.

The trailer for Statham’s newest film, Wild Card, has hit the web and its meager 1:39 run time is packed full of the actor’s signature beat downs. Note: This is the international trailer so please excuse the subtitles and title change.

In case you were too busy drinking in the action, the gist of the plot is as follows: Nick Wild (Statham) is a Vegas bodyguard and gambler who goes on a revenge streak when a friend is beaten up by a thug. That thug also happens to be the son of a powerful mob boss meaning Nick is now in deep with the criminal underworld. Interpretation: he has to destroy a relentless series of lackeys and mini bosses with his wide array of lethal moves, including a pretty badass head butt.

Stanley Tucci, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Angarano and Anne Heche star alongside Statham. It looks like Ventimiglia, sporting a goatee and a beefed up body, might be the mob boss’ son in the trailer. I’m unclear whether Tucci is said mobster but seeing him with a toupe was kind of startling. Is there going to be cheesy moment when Statham rips it off? In any case, the supporting cast is stellar and I would love to see a brawl between Statham and Tucci and/or Ventimiglia.

Written by two-time Academy Award winner William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance KidAll the President’s Men), Wild Card is based on Goldman’s own book and is a remake of Burt Reynold’s 1986 film, Heat.

Wild Card opens in theaters and On Demand on January 30, 2015.
