Welcome everyone to The Voice Top 12 elimination night!

After Top 12 performances that were mostly ‘meh’ than good, I am kind of filled with indifference here. I would love to see Reagan, Anita, Matt, Craig, and Luke stay another week.

Only Anita really truly impressed me with her aching version of “Redemption Song” though.

It’s been kind of a boring season to be totally honest. Here’s hoping it gets a little more interesting in the coming weeks.

So let’s see which two artists get sent home.

“The Time Is Nigh” sung by Gwen Stefani, Anita Antoinette, Ryan Sills, and Taylor John Williams: You can see who Gwen is totally pulling for with this song. Looks like you’re team favorite, Anita. There seems something so fundamentally wrong with Taylor during this song. It’s so happy for him. Anita is killing it though. Harmonies are a bit off. This whole performance is really silly though.

A fourth wild card finalist?! THAT’S BULLSHIT CARSON! If Sugar and Jessie go then I want them gone!

MATT MCANDREW IS SAVED!

ANITA ANTOINETTE IS SAVED!

Good job, America!

Anita’s mother is my favorite person ever.

Carson talks with the coaches. Apparently Meghan Trainor and Colbie Calliat are going to be songwriters helping with original work, which is awesome.

DANICA SHIREY IS SAVED!

CRAIG WAYNE BOYD IS SAVED!

HOT CRAIG IS IN THE FRINGE JACKET! YES GIVE ME LIFE!

“Ghost” sung by Ella Henderson: I have no idea who this person is. She has a nice, deep voice though. Alto girls you better represent. I can’t really say anything about the song except I liked it. It’s a pretty decent song with a good beat. I probably won’t go buy it, but I won’t get twitchy if it comes on in the car. Actually, I lied. I will probably get this. It’s pretty good.

DAMIEN IS SAVED!

REAGAN JAMES IS SAVED!

“Sad Songs” sung by Blake Shelton, Reagan James, Craig Wayne Boyd, and Jessie Pitts: Oh bad harmonies. So very, very, very bad harmonies here. Jessie is also hella pitchy tonight. I love Blake’s voice. Reagan and Craig are great here for their individual parts. The harmonies are off and it is annoying as hell. God I love Hot Craig in the fringe. I’m just going to stare at that hot yumminess.

TAYLOR JOHN WILLIAMS IS SAVED!

CHRIS JAMISON IS SAVED!

LUKE WADE IS SAVED!

VOICE VOTING AMERICA I AM PROUD OF YOU! THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE BOTTOM ARE IN THE BOTTOM! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

“Gravity” sung by Jessie Pitts: It’s just more of the usual schtick we get from Jessie. It’s light, airy, a bit pitchy, and kind of bland. I wished she did something different for this song. I swear it’s more of the same. Blake says that someone like Jessie brings an element no one has. It makes no sense because Reagan totally occupies the same space.

“I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” sung by Sugar Joans: Oh. Honey no. This is not for you, dear. It’s a Whitney Houston song. You cannot sing this song. Also STOP WITH THE PURPLE LIGHT AROUND SUGAR! Ugh. Glee did a better cover then this. She sounds off key. Pharrell says that Sugar gave an amazing performance and thinks she should be saved due to her vocal texture. He thinks she could do something special.

“More Than Words” sung by Ryan Sill: I keep saying that this guy is generic, and he is. At least though, he is consistently there. His vocals are consistently decent. He doesn’t do anything weird. He’s just a guy singing. It’s like watching a member of a less popular boy band trying to go solo. Ryan has my vote here by virtue of not annoying the hell out of me. Gwen reaffirmed that she adores Ryan and said that he is continually improving. She loves his spirit and his vibe.

AMERICA INSTANTLY SAVES RYAN SILL!

America, or the part of America that watches this show, you did good this week.
