Guardians of the Galaxy comes out in Blu-Ray and DVD on December 9th but Marvel knows we are impatient. So they have been sharing some of the goodies we will find on the Blu-Ray. This is both exciting and frustrating, but they love teasing us!
The newest sneak peek is a deleted scene with the daughters of Thanos: Nebula and Gamora. Don’t expect this scene to be an adorable sisters moment; it’s all about Nebula and Gamora exchanging some words and a few hits.
My question is: why was it deleted?! From my point of view, it doesn’t feel like an “extra” but more like a “plus” as it shows how bad their relationship is even though they were raised together. Also, it’s Nebula. I don’t feel we got enough of her in the entire film.
You can watch the video here.
Another extra-treat we got today came from the man himself, James Gunn. The clip shows a bit of James’ love for raccoons, how the animators used Oreo as a reference for Rocket Racoon, how James was a reference for Groot’s movements (if you listen closely, you can hear my heart pounding) and Victoria Alonso, head of Post-Production at Marvel.
Ah yes! Remember she is the badass lady behind Marvel’s special effects who is pushing for more women in the film industry? My heart is full of happiness and joy.
I don’t know what I love the most about this clip: Oreo, Victoria Alonso or James being Groot.
I am a sucker for behind the scenes clips and interviews. I’m starting to fear I will spend a whole day as a couch potato watching all the extras from the film as soon as I have it on my power. December 9 can’t come fast enough!
Guardians of the Galaxy will be out in digital copy on November 18 (so close, guys!) and on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 9th.
