They’ll Be There For You – ‘Friends’ Comes To Netflix

The NBC sitcom celebrated its twentieth anniversary earlier this year, so to commemorate that, and celebrate its coming to Netflix, I’ve chosen some of my favourite ‘Friends’ episodes from each season.

The One Where Nana Dies Twice (Season 1): Monica and Ross have a bit of a shock whilst trying to mourn for their grandmother, and Chandler is shocked to find out that people think he is gay.

The One With The Breast Milk (Season 2): Ross is grossed out by ex-wife Carol’s breast milk for their child, and Joey has a new job as a cologne spritzer which causes competition between him and his co-worker.

The One Where No One’s Ready (Season 3): Ross has to attend a black tie event at the museum that he works at, but trying to make sure the other friends are ready on time to go with him proves rather difficult.

The One With The Jellyfish (Season 4): When the friends take a beach vacation, Monica gets stung by a jellyfish, causing Chandler and Joey to help her out in a way that they never want to talk about again.

The One With Ross’ Sandwich (Season 5): Ross makes his favourite sandwich made from left over thanksgiving dinner, but when a co-worker eats it, Ross ends up being advised to take anger management therapy.

The One With The Routine (Season 6): Joey gets to be on the set of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” thanks to new roommate Janine who he has a crush on. Monica and Ross beg Joey to let them go too, in which they decide to perform a dance routine from their childhood that they believe will get them on tv.

The One With The Holiday Armadillo (Season 7): At Christmas time Ross wants to teach his son Ben about Chanukah, but when all of the Santa costumes are unavailable, he has to settle for the next best thing……an armadillo outfit.

The One Where Chandler Takes A Bath (Season 8): Chandler can’t understand why Monica finds baths so relaxing, but once she convinces him and he’s having a long soak, all of the friends gather in the bathroom, disturbing Chandler’s peace, to voice all of the problems that they seem to be having.

The One With Ross’ Inappropriate Song (Season 9): When Ross and Rachel try to find ways to make daughter Emma laugh, Ross discovers a sure way by rapping ‘Baby Got Back.’

The One With Princess Consuela (Season 10): Phoebe goes to change her surname after marrying Mike, but when realising that she can change it to whatever she wants, goes for “Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.” Discussion of name changing also causes problems between Monica and Chandler, when Monica confesses that she never changed her name after their marriage.
