Yes, it’s finally happening! Three episodes since Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, woke up from his coma, and he will finally be reuniting with Arrow’s Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). Gustin’s Allen appeared in two episodes of the last season of Arrow, which served to set up the spin-off show The Flash, as well as a spark between his character and computer hacker genius Smoak. This super cute, super geeky couple had so much potential and I really wanted them to happen, but then lightening and a nine-month-long coma happened! The two shows will now be crossing over once more, and last week’s Arrow saw Felicity ask for time off work to go visit her friend, having learnt he has woken up from his coma. Check out the promo of Felicity’s arrival in Central City below:

The thirty second clip shows Felicity finding herself fitting in well with the STAR Labs team, as they take on Captain Cold, aka Leonard Snart, played by Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller.

I am so excited to see these two back together again, and personally feel they are the most compatible pairing to come out of the show. Smoak’s turbulent relationship with Oliver Queen (Stephem Amell) at the start of the third season, and Allen’s harboured feelings for best friend Iris West (Candice Patton), however, tell me I may have to wait a little longer for anything serious to happen for my favourite pairing.

Fans of Felicity Smoak, however, have a lot to look forward to, with next week (5th November)’s episode of the Arrow revealing ‘The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak’. Throughout the three seasons she has starred on the show, audiences have learnt the bare minimum about Felicity’s past, but are now set to meet Donna Smoak, her mother (played by Charlotte Ross), and her college ex-boyfriend, played by Nolan Funk.

Barry and Felicity will be reunited in this week’s episode of The Flash, airing Tuesday 28 Oct on the CW and entitled ‘Going Rogue’. This won’t be the last of the two shows visiting each other, however, and the two will supposedly be meeting again in a two-parter later this season.
